I know it's not official, so I'm not asking to be put on any lists. I did NOT get any pics of the car with the number on it.

Street tires, 245/45R16 on SHP's. 3200 rpm launch on the two step, shifting at 6000, 25psi on a 17c TD06 Sy/Ty, VP25 race gas, I think it was 114 octane (also added a bottle of octane booster, did NOT want any detonation with the big boost) Bogged pretty bad on the launch. I didn't try to slip the clutch at all, not enough seat time yet. I plan on getting more chips for the 2 step to raise the launch rpm's. I'll get pics, and hopefully video tomorrow night.

(cyberquest updated)

the machine.

the mods:

M28 head (self ported, dual valve springs, stock cam)
stock modded T3 exhaust manifold
TD06 17c turbo (25psi)
kdm full 3" exhaust w/ dynomax muffler
Maft and 3" mass air flow sensor
MSD 6al ignition box with rev limiter and 3 step launch control
Taylor 8.2 mm plug wires
NGK BUR7EA-11 plugs (.41 gap)

stock block
stock fuel pump
stock injectors

Shit, it's Bryan's car, I'm sure he could tell more of what's done to it. He just used my parts is all.

Only things I've changed are wheels/tires, MAFT settings, upped the boost, increased the timing, and drive it like I stole it.

stock block
stock injectors
stock fuel pump
stock cam
m28 head with unknown dual valve springs (self ported)
T3 17c turbo
3in exhaust
Mk1 hardpipes
maft and 3in mass

self tuned with a:
NARROWBAND!!!!!

and YES many of the parts behind the scene came from Professor Quest. things a lot of people overlook that we didnt.

its got:

New motor mounts
New trans mounts
New torque tube mounts
New rear end mounts
New KYB gr2 struts front and rear
New strut isolators
New front wheel bearings
New sway bar end links

the main parts of the car like block, trans, clutch, head and stuff like that really are a bunch of different used parts that either i or other people had laying around.

and this mixed matched car is now officially .3 seconds slower then phinkos 400rwhp monster. he gets a bad launch and he just got SMOKED by a TBI car Laughing

well its all about the car making the list not me so as long as the CAR gets the credit thats all that matters.

i have been super busy but yes i would love to make it to the track with larry to get this all documented.

honestly i knew the car has way more in it then i was able to get it out of it. i am very very curious myself what it would do on a dyno, i think that should be larrys next move. Cool

and to be technical, its still my car cause the title and tags are still in my name, so larry is just "the staz" Laughing

larry running the 12 second time in my car is the MAIN reason candi NEVER was allowed to drive it at the track. she would have stumbled into that dumb luck kinda thing and ran 12s and i would have never lived that down.

i may not know how to drive but seems i'm getting pretty good with the wrenches. Wink

i really still have the go fast bug, but i think this time around i am gonna start with a th350 auto as the drivetrain and build around that. and it will probably be a d50 but who knows cause i am kinda enjoying the break from them.

yea some thing have to be done to make other things happen. sadly i had other priorities that required money to make happen and selling my car was about my only option

phil: not sure what write up you want me to do, i listed all that was done to the car. no hidden secrets or magic recipe, slap it together and rock it!

once you start to OVERTHINK this car you loose...

The car is down, severe rod knock.

A 150+ mph run with a Challenger SRT8 did it in. It was on the rev limiter at 6600 in 5th gear and started nosing over. I thought it just got hot, so I slowed down to legal speeds, but it kept losing power. Pulled off an exit to let it cool down. That's when the knocking got real bad.

I'm thinking of pulling the long block from the MPI car to throw in this one. Selling off all the MPI stuff, and doing a swap of some sort.

I've now got 4 cars sitting here, everyone of them has a spun rod bearing. Granted, I don't treat them nice, but this sucks......

I would not be surprised if it leaned out and detonated first and that took out the rod bearing. 6500 rpm puts a ridiculous load on the rods and bearings on long stroke motor like ours.

It is all so unrealistic to expect stock size injectors to keep up at that rpm, as there is less time to spray in the fuel as the rpm increases.

Sorry it happened, maybe it was just its time.
