Well Progress has been alot slower then I have liked it to be, but I still am making progress on my Starion. Got the Bottom end almost all together with oil pan and Timing cover on. Took alot of work to get the Crank Scraper fitting just right with grinding, plus use a few washers to make the oil pickup even in the pan as it was originally.
Doing alot of small improvements over the last setup from the blue car (12.4 @ 15psi).
Other Notable things I am Changing or considering to change, Going from 2.5in to 3in after the IC to the TB, Moving BOV from After IC to Before near the turbo.

Italic = Changes from Blue car

Car Info:

Hawk ECU
Magna Intake
60-1 Hifi Turbo
720cc injectors

88 Starion Red Repainted by Burton several years ago.
Transmission: Stock 88 Automatic Transmission (so far Want to clean and VB mod, probly over the winter)
Polly Trans Mount

Engine: G54B Same engine, Exhaust, intake and Turbo ran 12.4 @ 15psi in the Blue car (main difference is this in a auto with much improved head)
8.1:1 Compression (about)
Custom Weisco Forge Pistions (desinged to give an even 7:1 ratio with Marnel head)
Crank Scraper
Oil pan baffle
BS Eliminated
Rebuild and Balanced
Light Wight 83 Crank Pully (no ac belt groove)

Intake:
65mm Australian Ford TB
Magna Intake (Plenum Ported to have smoother transition from Welded flange to intake)

2.5In pipe from Turbo to IC With Tial BOV
3in from IC to TB
Inter cooler pipes just under 4ft long in total
Volvo Buss IC with 3in in and outlets. (front bumper Cut and rewelded and modified to get about 25% more flow from the blue car)

Fuel:
Delphi Injectors from RC engineering injectors 718cc flowed to 1% of each other
Magna stock FPR 37psi 0 vac and 26psi 17 vac (haven't tested under psi yet)
Fuel Pressure gage Mounted on the Cowl
Have a Arrowmotive FPR I may install later

Head:
Magna 3rd gen head (heart shaped chambers raise compression to about 8.3:1 from stock)
Magna 3rd gen Roller Cam 1.55 Ratio Rockers (have some Caravan 1.6 ratio I may put in later to see how it works)
Very Heavily Ported
SS 1mm Oversized Valves
Shniter HD Valve Springs
Ti Retainers
Manual Carb Fuel Pump access welded Up so dont need to worry about oil leaking
Factory set up for Crank ventilation. (secondary air Cleaner)

Exhaust:
3in exhaust from downpipe to the stright section, 3.5in at the bend in the rear with 3.5in Cherry Bomb
2 3 Wire Narrow Band O2's One for ECU other for AF Gage
(Plan to add another O2 Bung down farther for Wide Band)
38mm External WG Routed back into downpipe (about 25% more flow then the blue cars)
V band exhaust connections
Exhaust Wrapped downpipe
Turbo Insulation blanket
SS Heat Shield over the blanket
SS Heat Shield around the Header
Header designed for Waste gate Flow

Accel U Groove Spark Plugs
Magna Distributor

Turbo:
Turbonics T3/T4 60-1 HiFi Stage 3 Turbine
Greddy Profect B Boost Controller (Not Installed yet)

Awesome project. I hope to see some pics. I have a few questions though.

why use a narrowband at all?
what trans are you thinking of using since your gonna max out the stocker in a hurry.
why would you upgrade to 3" pipe and retain a 65mm TB?
2.5" pipe is used in tons of 600whp setups. Why go larger?

just curious on your views for it.

3in pipe just because the tb od is 3in and same with the IC. I think we can get the pipe shorter. I know its not needed at all.
The Narrow band well mostly due to thats what we have laying around. Plan on getting a wide band soon. We have tuned cars in th epast with out a wide band in the past so not in a big rush on that.
As for the tranny will find out how well it works.... and go from there.

Well the stage 3 wheel is just to small..... gets boost 3-4psi at 2000rpms. Cant hardly use the drive gear as it just kicks down all the time and stays in gear as it only goes by a Vac signal. So it thinks your mashing the gas at all times. The stage 3 wheel I think was over spooleding the turbo as well. As the BOV 50mm one still was getting the turkey sounds when you did light gas and driving. The Turbo had as good or faster then any 12a turbo powered car we have drove. Started to blow smoke and needed to be rebuild. So brother used some parts from an other turbo and not got it going once more same compressor side and we now have a stage 5 wheel. We hope it helps with the wild fast spool. Before any thing more then about 5-10% gas and it would be under boost. It all so now with the stage 5 wheel on there need to pull fuel as its running very rich now. Now some good news with the longer frist gearing on the auto it runs very quick on street tires. With the 5 speed it spun the tires very ezly was hard to get on it and keep the power to the wheels with the longer gearing it seems to make it much ezer.

Going to try to get alot of tunning done on it later today and Sat. Right now its getting full spool by about 3800rpms. That stage 5 wheel is a beast of a wheel. Helped lot on the top end power. The Tranny shifts more like it should now.In the past I have run the stage 5 wheel and it was to laggy with the built head it helped a good deal as best spool we could get was at 4200 last time we used it. I think we will get it to about 3400 or so after tunning it good. Will run this for a bit and work on getting the split tang headder done and then go to a big boy Turbo Full T4 Split tang.

I keep hearing Big Boy Turbo and 3400rpm spool.

You realize RPM is where the power is at right? Work on keeping your torque curve up and wrap this motor out like its a 4cyl. Look at Johns car for example. Shift the powerband up and watch the 10th's fall off. That lowend power isnt gonna do anything but break already hard to comeby parts.

Goodluck to you sir!

The Big Boy Turbo... Will be a Full T4 and I am sure its not going to spool up at no 3400rpms well unlikly any how. Big Boy means a four number capable turbo.

Well went threw one tranny why we got it tuned up... put a 2nd one in did the valve body mod to it. Shifted great looked like it was going to hold up but it two died at about 230miles. The power was nice when it worked had to ease on to the gas even in 3nd it would break traction. As it is now its waiting for a 3nd tranny. Very hard to tune on the street need to get it on a dyno to do any thing more it just spins tell about 85mph and by then your going way to fast to be on the street tuning. Motors working great.. cant say much about a stock auto other then dont bother with it beating all stock and holding much power. We added a 2nd cooler the 2nd time I think that might have bought us the 200miles more we got on the 2nd tranny. lol
