Another 4G5X powered varient from overseas.

There were some 500 carbureted Sigma GSR's produced from 1980-1982. They came with various versions of the Astron 4G5 series engine. (In short they were the same basic engine with different displacements) The turbo Sigma GSR was actually the 2.0l Astron 4G52 w/ 7.8:1 CR. It was fitted with a Stromberg Draw thru carb and a Garrett Air Research T03.

Really wish I could get my hands on the exhaust manifold! As you can see, factory it came with a vbanded external wastegate and twin scroll header.... Evil or Very Mad

Bottom line, WE GOT SCREWED!!!

That is a nice piece! If we could fine one we could have more cast. That draw through carb setup was a mistake though, seems like they always shortchanged something.

Yeah, getting it recast is exactly what I was thinking. I mean come on, Vband wastegate, Vband DOWNPIPE!!! Im very jealous.

But as much as that carb setup seems sucky, I disagree.

Car was released in the early 80's so 70's design. And VW bug guys have had good success with draw thru setups for years.

Imagine, 150hp 4cyl in a light car during the early 80's. Youd be nearly untouchable hahahaha

Plus, they have had easy access to the Magna intakes for a long time.

I agree, they are super freaking rare though. Only 500 sigma turbos ever made and thats what those came on.

Would LOVE to have it recast
